Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to develop the structural design methodology for morphing wings with corrugated structures as a candidate for the variable camber morphing wing. A simplified structural analysis considering large deformation and an aerodynamic analysis are combined to estimate the optimal deformation for morphing wings with actuation mechanisms. Optimization has been conducted for better aerodynamic performance by changing structural parameters of corrugated structures.
