Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Losing a balance between differentiation and proliferation of smooth muscle cells causes the hereditary aortic aneurysms. Our study indicates that a heterotrimeric G protein, Galpha12 activates the pathway divergent from Galpha13.Phosphorylation of Galpha12 by TGFbeta stimulation may sustain the activation of the pathway.
