Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Integration between TGF-b and YAP signaling pathways has been reported in malignant mesothelioma (MM) cells. We found that YAP signal could be negatively controlled by TMEPAI family which we have already identified as a negative regulator of TGF-b signaling. In addition, we identified that the PY motifs in TMEPAI family play an important role in their interaction with YAP via its WW domains. We also found that TMEPAI family inhibits proliferation of MM cells.
