Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have demonstrated the impact of the collision of the ejecta of core-collapse supernova with a star in a binary system, using stellar models and hydrodynamical simulations. We have also conducted a survey project to detect the observational counterpart of the proposed model by looking for binary system in the progenitors of supernovae. The greatest achievement of this study is that we present a new methodology to find the evidence of the survivors of the first stars in the present universe.

第一世代星の生き残りを発見することは2020年代の天文学における重要な科学目標の一つとされている。本研究は、銀河系内に第一世代星の生き残りが存在する可能性を提示するとともに、これまで考えられてこなかった新しい理論的枠組みを提唱している。また、観測研究では、近年話題となっている重力波の起源天体の探査にも資することが判明し、人類の知的創造活動への貢献が期待される。
