Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We performed a comprehensive mutation analysis of the synaptotagmin gene family in schizophrenic patients with drug-induced parkinsonisms. We found a novel heterozygous mutation, c.-18+47G/A, in intron 4 of the Synaptotagmin 1 gene in a patient with drug-induced dystonia. In addition, we found different patterns of drug-induced parkinsonisms in 22q11.2 deletion syndrome patients with schizophrenia-like psychosis.
