| Research Abstract |
500家系の遺伝性難聴症例の中で、遺伝子CDH23の解析で、難聴発症の原因となる遺伝子変異ならびに有意な多型は同定されなかった。新たな遺伝子変異としては、若年者は中音領域の難聴、加齢により低音域の難聴が進行する常染色体優性遺伝家系で新規のWFS1変異を同定し、対象者の蝸電図検査では、内リンパ水腫の成績が得られ、WFS1変異との関連が推測された。
高度難聴を示すマウスから、Vlgr1(very large G-protein coupled receptor)が、コルチ器感覚細胞の感覚毛の発生の際に、感覚毛の基部に発現し、変異があると感覚毛の正常な発生が障害される点を同定した。
