| Research Abstract |
温度変化のもとで物質がその性質を変える相転移とよばれる現象に関連する数学的問題を研究した。この種の問題は単なる方程式ではなく、変分不等式と呼ばれる、不等式によって解に制約条件を課した複雑な構造をしている。無限次元の空間において問題を定式化し、発展方程式論という抽象的な方法を駆使して、解が存在すること、解がただひとつであること、時間がたつにつれて解がどの様に変化するか、などに関する成果を得た。
