Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Physical exercise training with respiratory load masks has been reported to improve certain aspects of respiratory function and cardiopulmonary endurance. However, specific knowledge on the methods and indications for this training is lacking. The purpose of present study was to identify respiratory response strategies during Physical exercise training with respiratory load masks. In addition, data were obtained to identify physiological adaptations over time during this training and to build a respiratory model as a basis for further research.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
高齢化社会において、加齢による呼吸機能や心肺持久力の低下に対する効果的なトレーニング方法を追求することは、身体機能維持や生命予後改善に有用である。本研究により構築された呼吸器モデルを基盤として、トレーニング中の生体応答を評価できれば、健常人の運動時呼吸負荷トレーニングのみならず、多様な対象者における様々な運動療法・呼吸トレーニング手技に対する呼吸応答解析に必要な情報が解明される可能性がある
