Outline of Final Research Achievements

By the recent appearance of the brane world and AdS/CFT, black holes in more than four dimensions have been playing an important role in modern physics. Such higher dimensional black holes can have various shapes as well as a sphere. In a series of our works, we have constructed several types of black hole solutions with so-called lens space topologies to the five-dimensional Einstein equations.

全ての高次元ブラックホール解を発見するということ は、ブラックホールに関する現象のモデルを全て数え上げるということである.また、新たなブラックホール解を見つけることは、物理現象に新たな予言を与える.したがって、本研究は、ブラックホール物理学の先駆けとなる本質的な研究となるだけでなく、AdS/CFT 対応を通して、超弦理論や物性物理学の分野にも応用できるため、物理学におけるその意義は計り知れない.
