家族性高コレステロール血証症例において、コレステロール代謝に関係したプロテアーゼ PCSK9を測定することにより、FH診断に有用であること、心臓病の原因となる動脈硬化症形成に関係すること、将来の心事故予測が可能であることを確認しえた。
