Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to propose an advanced theoretical model of the photoacoustic effect for development of the photoacoustic tomography. We theoretically and numerically examined photoacoustic wave propagation in a medium containing multiple bubbles, in which these bubbles generate acoustic scattering. The present study reveals the influence of acoustic scattering generated by bubbles on acoustic wave propagation. Based on this result, we formulated the theoretical model of photoacoustic wave propagation in a medium containing optical absorbers and bubbles.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
