Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It is necessary to prevent the peri-implantitis which is one of the complications while continuing maintenance for the success of the oral implant treatment. Commonly used titanium has excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. However, it has been reported that titanium was corroded by low pH solution. The state that the titanium ion which had melt from the dental implant with the endotoxin which bacteria produced had what kind of influence on the ephrin/Eph pathway that was one of the bone metabolic pathways or analyzed it. As a result, little influence on the ephrin/Eph pathway, and it was suggested that RANKL/RANK pathway participated in bone resorption in the peri-implantitis.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
