Research Abstract

破骨細胞の分化障害が認められるop/opマウスにおいては,BMP誘導性の異所性骨形成の著明な亢進を示している。また,これらの異所性骨には形態学的異常が観察されたことより,骨形成の際に出現する破骨細胞が正常な骨の形態形成に重要な役割を果たしていることが示され、破骨細胞の存在の重要性がさらに深まった。
