Research Abstract

骨シアロタンパク質(BSP)は、アパタイト結晶形成能を有することから、歯周組織再生に重要な役割を果たすと考えられる。骨芽細胞様細胞を副甲状腺ホルモン(PTH; 10nM)で刺激すると、3時間後にBSPmRNA, タンパク質量が増加した。ヒトBSP遺伝子プロモーターの転写活性はPTH刺激(10 nM、3~6時間)で上昇し、プロモーター中の2つのCRE配列への核内タンパク質の結合は、PTH(10 nM)刺激3時間後に増加した。以上の結果は、PTHがBSPの遺伝子発現を増加させ、歯周組織再生を増強する可能性を示唆すると思われる。
