Research Abstract

本研究では生体内における硬組織発生を模倣したアプローチにより、無機単体、無機/有機複合体からなる新規機能性スキャフォールドの作製、また、スキャフォールド内における細胞の増殖、分化、三次元パターニングさらには組織化といった細胞操作をあらかじめin vitroにて行うことで無機/有機/細胞からなる生体組織様組織(プレティッシュ)の構築を試みた。その結果、塩基性タンパク質に対して親和性の高いアパタイト材料や含有アパタイト量が傾斜的に変化するゲル材料の作製に成功した。さらに、ゲル内細胞に対する外的刺激を応用することで、ゲル内細胞の配置、配向制御を達成し、これら細胞含有ゲルを利用した石灰化誘導により、細胞/有機/無機からなる三次元複合材料の作製を達成した。本研究で作製した材料は新しい硬組織再生、再建用材料として有望である。また、本研究で示したような生体擬似的アプローチによる材料の作製は新しい機能性材料創製において有効なシステムとなりうる。
