Research Abstract

統一理論の候補となる弦理論から、実験で検証された標準模型を導出することは難しい。その理由は、弦理論の非摂動論的な効果に対する理解が不足しているからだと思われる。本研究では、弦理論の非摂動論的な効果の理解と真空構造の解析を目指して、弦理論の定式化に関する研究を行った。研究期間を通じて取り組んだテーマは、(1)光円錐型弦の場の理論と行列弦理論の対応、(2)超対称ヤン・ミルズ理論のインスタントン計算、(3)超対称ヤン・ミルズ理論の可積分性である。
