Outline of Final Research Achievements

Through the quest for electrode materials, a number of novel cathode materials were found as promising cathode active materials for Ca-ion battery, one of post Li-ion batteries. In addition, fundamental simultaneous measurement technology for multiple microelectrodes was developed, which enables fast evaluation of electrochemical properties of multiple electrode materials. By improving this technology, the optimization process for making electrodes or batteries can be made much more efficient.

本研究で得られた成果によって、太陽光・風力などの再生可能エネルギーを有効利用するためのエネルギーバッファーなどさまざまな分野で利用可能な、高エネルギー密度・高安全・長寿命なポストリチウムイオン電池の研究開発が加速され、将来的に社会・産業界への大きな波及効果が期待できる。
