Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The present study clarified that FD1 is a negative regulator for flowering in response to long day treatment and contributes the gain of photoperiod insensitivity in adzuki bean. Three QTLs controlling chilling tolerance at flowering stage were identified on molecular linkage map.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
アズキの感光性の消失に関わる遺伝子を世界に先駆けて特定した。また、開花期における耐冷性に関する研究も他になく、3遺伝子を世界に先駆けて分子地図上に特定し、遺伝子単離の準備を整えた。将来、アズキの開花制御と低温ストレス下における正常な花粉の発達の分子遺伝学的研究を展開するための基礎を築いた。
