Outline of Final Research Achievements

We succeeded in installing a Bluetooth module equipped with a time synchronization system in the wearable EEG device developed by the principal investigators, and therefore, succeeded in developing a wireless time synchronization wearable EEG system. Using this wireless time-synchronized wearable EEG system, we conducted an experiment to measure EEG of multiple people watching a movie at the same time. As a result, people who have similar moods and impressions when watching the same movie have high EEG synchronization, and people who have different moods or different impressions have low EEG synchronization.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

同じ動画を見ることで,同じような気分になったり,同じような感想を持ったりすることは共感につながる重要なファクターであると考えられる.それ故,本研究により開発することに成功したワイヤレス時刻同期ウェアラブル脳波計を用いて,複数人の脳波を計測し,そのときの脳波の同期度を解析することで共感度に関しての評価をすることができる可能性が示唆された.
また,ワイヤレス時刻同期ウェアラブル脳波計は,マイクロ秒のオーダーで複数人の脳波をワイヤレスで同期することができることから,実環境下における脳波計測に有用なデバイスであり,実環境における脳波計測研究を加速することができると考えられる.
