Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We investigated effect of electronic quadrupoles and an electric hexadecapole in a model based on a doubly degenerated orbital degrees of freedom in a tetragonal crystal such as iron-based superconductors. Furthermore, we elucidated an electronic state in RTSi with a nonsymmorphic space group, which has the same crystal structure as 111 iron-based superconductors: (1) Electrical multipole orderings in CeCoSi and (2) Electronic states without space-inversion and time-reversal symmetries in LaMnSi and CeMnSi.

超音波による電気四極子歪み相互作用,電気16極子回転相互作用の役割が明らかにされてきたことで,正方晶系化合物における軌道の2重縮退に注目し,それがもつ自由度である2つの電気四極子とその電気四極子と交換関係にある電気16極子が示す物性を解明することは,Kramers二重項が示す磁気的な性質の解明と対極的な対応関係があり,学術的意義がある。また,非共形空間群が示す物性の解明も結晶構造に由来する縮退の破れが考えられるため,どのような基底状態が現れるのか解明することも重要である。
