Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have finished to analyze about twenty thousand whole human gene expression in MDA-MB231 cells and 231BR cells. Fourteen genes were found as more 10-fold difference in gene expression. Two genes were more 50-fold difference, and one gene was more 100-fold difference in those 14 genes. CHRDL1 gene was 77.66-fold higher, TMEM gene was 62.03-fold higher in MDA-MB 231 cells. SLC14A1 gene was 137.46-fold higher in 231BR cells. We searched published literatures to find any relevance in brain metastasis, and there was no findings.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では乳癌の脳転移を事前予測するためのバイオマーカー探索を行い、現段階で候補となるタンパク質や遺伝子異常を同定している。それらのバイオマーカーが確かに脳転移に関与するかどうかを引き続き検証する必要がある。学術的意義としては、それらのバイオマーカーが臨床的意義を有するかどうかの臨床試験において、脳転移ハイリスク症例を抽出することが可能となる。また、脳転移の事前予測が可能となれば、早期発見・早期治療介入が可能となり、患者のADL維持や予後改善につながることが社会的意義と考える。
