Mesenteric lymph exosome-induced NF-κB activation significantly increased after intestinal ischemia, and lipid analysis revealed a significant increase in the concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids (C18:2, C20:4)-containing lysophosphatidylcholines.
Cervical vagal nerve stimulation evoked abdominal vagal nerve activity and relieved the trauma/hemorrhagic shockeinduced impairment in intestinal blood flow by modulating the vasoconstriction effect of noradrenaline.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
救急現場（外傷など）において、腸管虚血再灌流障害による多臓器障害は未だ致命率が高い病態であるが、今回の研究にてその病態を腸間膜リンパ液のエクソソームの脂質のメディエータ（リゾリン脂質群であるlysophosphatidylcholines）の関与の観点から明らかにすることができた。さらには、頸部迷走神経の電気的刺激が腸管の血流に作用し腸管保護作用がある事を明らかにすることができ、動物実験ではあるが、腸管虚血再灌流障害による多臓器障害の新たな治療戦略になるためのエビデンスの1つとなった。
