| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study was to develop a smoking cessation motivation program tailored to the learning characteristics of individuals with mental disorders. A learning format that heavily utilized role-playing was adopted, combining multiple sessions with occupational therapy interventions. Six sessions were conducted over two weeks for the intervention group, with pre- and post-surveys administered. Results showed slight effects on smoking cessation confidence and the number of cigarettes smoked. Further research will continue with an increased number of participants.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
精神疾患を持つ人は、これまで禁煙の動機付けが難しいと言われていました。しかし、この研究では、体験学習とロールプレイを多用した禁煙支援プログラムを開発し、2週間で6回のセッションを実施しました。その結果、禁煙自信と喫煙本数に僅かながら改善が見られました。学術的には、精神疾患を持つ人々に適した新たな禁煙支援方法を提案するものであり、社会的には彼らの健康増進と医療費削減に寄与する可能性があります。今後、対象者を増やしてさらなる効果検証を行う予定です。
