Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examined the function of the resident health worker system in Okinawa Prefecture in organizing the activities of maternal and child health care promoters. The number of municipalities in Okinawa where MCHPs were active gradually increased, and it became clear that the start of MCHP activities coincided with the system of resident public health nurses. In addition, it became clear that the resident public health nurses made the decision to start activities based on local issues, found suitable personnel for the MCHPs, and established a system to sustain the activities.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
