Outline of Final Research Achievements

Because a synchronization is characterized by a matrix called the graph Laplacian, we proposed an efficient construction method of the graph Laplacian using a given matrix data. Moreover, we formulated a Riemannian optimization problem for identifying a symmetric positive definite matrix related to the graph Laplacian. Furthermore, to control a large-scale system such as a power networked system, we proposed an H2 optimal model reduction method using a Riemannian optimization method.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究成果の学術的意味や社会的意義は以下の2点である.
(1)太陽光などの再生可能エネルギーが電力ネットワーク上に多数普及した場合には,気象の影響で電力ネットワークシステムは時々刻々と変化すると考えられる.本研究で提案するモデルは入出力データを用いたモデルなので,その変化を検出し,リアルタイムでモデルを更新することが可能である.
(2)リーマン多様体上の最適化手法を積極的に応用しているシステム制御工学の研究者は世界的にも非常に少ない状況であるが,本研究の成果によってリーマン多様体上の最適化手法に興味を持つシステム制御工学の研究者が増えることが期待される.
