Outline of Final Research Achievements |
When electrodermal activity was measured for patients with epilepsy and healthy controls, we found that patients with epilepsy had lower electrodermal activity than healthy controls. We also revealed that the lower electrodermal activity was inversely correlated with the high frequency of seizures. In patients with epilepsy, it is known that epileptic abnormal discharge repeatedly occurs in the brain, resulting in decreased cognitive function. Therefore, electrodermal activity may also be affected by epileptic abnormal discharge.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
