Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project was to investigate the relation between ventilation and anatomical change of ARDS lung. We used Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) to evaluate ventilation and dynamic CT to evaluate anatomical change during ventilation. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, we were only able to enroll few patients. Form these data from few patients, we noticed that regularly applied mechanical ventilation had small change in CT (CT value and movement). This data will be useful for planning future experiment to have specific ventilation mode to have enough signal to be detected and to be evaluated by dynamic CT.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
