Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research, a proof-of-concept exeperiment on a novel ultra fast gamma-ray detection method based on electro-optic effects has been conducted. A probe laser through a device of an electro-optic material is monitored to detect a small temporal change of its light yeild caused by inernal ionizatinos by gamma-ray photons.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
