| Research Abstract |
中部ラオス及び東北タイに多い天水田中の樹木は,農村生活上の多様な用途を目的として保護育成されている.樹木下の日射量,落葉量,土壌の特徴,生息動物種類数などには樹種間の大きな違いがあるものの,日射制限によるイネの減収は一部の樹種に限られ,多くの樹種の下のイネは通常と変わらないか,いくつかの樹種の下ではかえって多収となっていた.このような機能を巧みに活用すれば低収不安定な稲作の改善も可能と思われる.
