Research Abstract

自然言語に観察される省略現象のうち間接疑問縮約と項省略に焦点を当て、文献調査やインフォーマント調査によりそれらを比較統語論的に研究した。間接疑問縮約では、wh疑問文の形成が英語とは異なる日本語を中心に考察し、先行詞との対比を伴う間接疑問縮約構文が今後の研究に重要であるとの結論を得た。項省略では、自由語順現象との相関を複数の言語を比較することによって検証し、その相関は部分的であるという結果を得た。
