Research Abstract

結晶はミクロな構造異方性をもつために, 特定の方位の結晶面がマクロな結晶外形を形づくる。ゆっくりと成長または融解する結晶では一般的に、成長形は成長速度の遅い方位の面によって、融解形は融解速度の速い面によって囲まれる。このような成長形と融解形の違いを確にするために、氷円盤結晶側面の二回対称系を用いて実験観察を行い、それらの間の非対称性を明らかにした。氷結晶の成長と融解の素過程を考慮した界面律速モデルに基づくシミュレーションを行い、観測した成長形と融解形の非対称変化を定性的に説明する
