Research Abstract

報告者等はNi-Mn-In合金に磁場を作用すると合金の形状が変化することを世界に先がけて報告した。見出されて間もないため磁場で誘起される形状変化の機構は不明であった。本研究により、Ni-Mn-In合金の相図と合金内の磁気特性が明らかになり、同合金の相転移の機構のモデルを提案することが可能となった。
