Research Abstract |
Monochoria vaginalis and Scirpus juncoides showed higher growth responses to elevated CO_2 than rice. Echinochloa oryzoides responded to elevated CO_2 only under higher temperature condition, showing the interaction between CO_2 concentration and temperature. Elevated CO_2 stimulated the competition between rice and paddy-field weeds, which decreased rice yields under the future CO_2 concentration.
