Research Abstract

白色筋魚類は連続遊能力少なく、底生である。白色筋が多く、体比重の大きいシイラは表層性であるが、理由は不明である。シイラに加速度ロガーを装着して遊泳行動を検証した。シイラは水深20mの表層を浮上時に活発に遊泳し、下降時に休息する行動を繰り返し、表層性を維持していた。シイラ用漁具に装着したカメラロガーからイワシなどの餌生物の画像が多く得られ、表層ハビタートの重要性が認められた。本研究ではロガーの小型化や採餌計測法の開発も行った。
