Research Abstract

慢性糸球体腎炎の進展機序におけるマクロファージの機能を明らかにする目的で、in vivo, in vitroの実験系解析およびヒト慢性糸球体腎炎の腎生検標本を用いて検討を行った。その結果、慢性糸球体腎炎にみられる慢性病変(糸球体メサンギウムメサンギウム増生、糸球体硬化、尿細管質線維化)の進展にはマクロファージのM2型亜型が関与していることを明らかにした。さらに、小児および成人IgA腎症患者の腎生検標本の解析からも同様の所見が見出された。
