Research Abstract

本研究は,航空機および宇宙基地などで用いられる「低圧閉鎖空間」における火災危険性に関する基礎知見を得ることを目的としている.
これまでの研究において,低圧場においては常圧場よりも少ない酸素分圧で自発着火が達成されることを実験的に示すことに成功したものの,その着火促進が熱輸送などの物理過程で支配されるのか,それとも化学反応などの化学過程に支配されるのかが十分に理解できないでいた.
本課題ではこの理解を深めることに特化し,実験および解析の両面から設定目標を達成しようとするものである.低圧チャンバを用いて着火限界マップを作成し,その振る舞いについて理論的アプローチにより解明を試みた.その結果,低圧限界付近を除いては過去の理論解析の成果(純粋な拡散場での自発着火,淀み点流れ場における自発着火)に漸近することを示すことに成功した.
また,3次元数値解析により着火時間によって場が拡散場から淀み点流れ場に時々刻々推移してそれらを分けることを明確に示し,低圧場での着火機構について物理過程によって多くを説明できることを示した.
低圧着火限界付近は化学過程が支配的となるため,さらなる検討が必要である.微量ラジカル成分を検知できる計測システムの設置,ならびに着火を引き起こす微量な活性ラジカルの出現過程を明確に予測できる簡略化素反応モデルの発展が望まれる.
