Research Abstract

火災被害を拡大することで知られる、火災旋風の影響度(周囲への熱輻射量など)を正確に評価し、また、発生防止のための知見を得る目的で、火災旋風の詳細な機構を実験および理論解析の両面から検討した。その結果、火災旋風が発生すると火炎面積および周囲への熱輻射量が劇的に増加するのは、旋風の発生に伴う火炎形状の変化により、発熱速度(燃料消費速度)が増大するためであることが明らかになった。
