Outline of Research at the Start

鏡を見て鼻を触るとき、見えない身体部位の位置を把握する固有感覚ベースの身体地図が働く。その発達過程の検討は、これまで観察主体でしか行われてこなかった。本研究では、ゲーミフィケーションを取り入れ、幼児の身体地図の発達を定量的に評価できる新たな課題を開発、評価する。具体的には、自己映像の身体各部位に拡張現実（AR）を用いてマークを表示し、幼児が実物の自己身体に対応づけて当該部位を定位できるかを評価する。また、自己映像身体部位定位における他者身体への参照の役割も検討する。幼児期初期に特有の自己／他者身体表現獲得の発達過程と獲得メカニズムに迫る。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

鏡を見て鼻を触るとき、見えない身体部位の位置を把握する体性感覚ベースの身体地図が働く。その発達過程の検討は、方法論上の難しさから観察主体でしか行われてこなかった。本研究では、ゲーミフィケーションを取り入れることで、幼児の身体地図の発達を定量的に評価できる新たな課題を開発、評価する。具体的には、自己映像の身体各部位に拡張現実（AR）を用いてマークを表示し、幼児が実物の自己身体に対応づけて当該部位を定位できるかを評価するゲーム様の課題である。
2023年度は、繰り越された研究費を活用し、横断実験前に縦断的変化を捉えるための予備調査を実施した。のべ37名の幼児の協力を得て、縦断観察のポイントや手続きの精緻化を行った。これを踏まえて、開発した課題との総合的な縦断手的評価の手続きを確立することができた。2023年度より採択された研究課題へのシームレスな移行が可能となった。
一方で、研究成果の発表も順次実施した。成果の一部をまとめた書籍の分担執筆を行い、2022年に東京大学出版から『心と身体』の5章「身体表象と社会性の発達」として出版された。また、2023年8月にはMotorControl研究会の招待を受け、「行為で自分を手に入れる―運動主体感の初期発達」というタイトルで招待講演を行った。2023年11月には人工知能学会身体知研究会からの招待を受け「乳幼児の自己認識発達の理解にテクノロジーを役立てる工夫」というタイトルで招待講演を実施した。さらに、国内学会（日本認知科学会第40回大会）にて成果発表1件、国際学会（XXIV ICIS 2024）への投稿も行い、2024年度に発表することが決まった。
