Outline of Research at the Start

マイクロホンなど従来の方法では原理的に計測できない音場に対して,レーザ干渉計を用いて非接触に音を計測する光学的音響測定の研究を進めている.計測法やデータ解析手法に関する検討を行い,光学的に測定可能な音響現象の種類を増やしてきた.一方,現実の応用問題へ適用するにあたり,これまで取り組んだ計測法自体の改善に加え,計測されたデータに対する発展的な信号処理も検討する必要があるが,現状は基礎検討に留まっている.本研究では,これまで発展させてきた光学的音響測定手法を現実の工学的問題に適用することを目指し,光学干渉計によって測定された音響データに対する信号処理について検討を行う.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

For extending the range of application of optical sound measurement, several research topics have been investigated. They include image processing for acoustic information retrieval, array processing for optical sound measurement, three-dimensional sound field reconstruction from optical projection, and measurement instrument calibration. The research results indicate that there are some room for measuring sound fields that have not been investigated. In addition, we showed that acoustic information can be extracted by applying signal processing to those data.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

従来の研究では測定されてこなかった音場を光学的に測定できることを示したことにより,音の情報が重要な工学的または工業的な応用に適用可能な範囲を広げることができた.それにより,光学的音響計測を実用に近付けることができた.
