| Outline of Research at the Start |
喉頭乳頭腫はヒトパピローマウイルス(HPV)が関連する良性腫瘍であるが、再発率の高い難治性の疾患である。喉頭は上気道の中でも最も狭く、腫瘍の発生により容易に上気道狭窄を生じて呼吸困難をきたす。既存の治療では限界が明らかであるにもかかわらず、新たな治療を確立するための基礎的・臨床的研究は世界レベルで見てもほとんど進んでいない。本研究は、喉頭乳頭腫のpatient-derived xenograftモデルと培養細胞モデルを作成し，ダイレクトにウイルスに対してではなく、宿主リン酸化酵素からのウイルスへのアプローチという新たな視点で実現性の高い治療を探索し、実地医療への架け橋を築くものである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It was intended to determine three points of the next in this study.(1)Making patient-derived xenograft of the laryngeal papilloma (2)Making the cultured cell model of the laryngeal papilloma (3)Suppression of the laryngeal papilloma by the phosphoenzyme inhibition of the host.
The laryngeal papilloma tissue which we obtained by surgery was transfused into a super immunodeficiency mouse, but did not lead to the survival of tumor.Also, we tried culture in the state that embedded a papilloma tissue to mark Rigel or collagen, but the growth of epithelial cells was not confirmed.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
今回の研究では、目的としていたpatient-derived xenograftの作成および培養細胞モデルの樹立には至らなかった。今後培養条件等を再検討し、引き続き研究をすすめる所存である。
本研究を進めることで、難治性疾患である喉頭乳頭腫の治療について新展開が期待できる。
