Research Abstract |
In this study, to reconstruct quantitative paleoceanographic records in the Arctic Ocean during the last interglacial episode, we participated in the Arctic Ocean research cruise in 2009 by research vessel "Mirai", and plankton net survey and sediment coring were conducted in the Chukchi Sea. The sediment cores were successfully collected a total of five from three sites. In Japanese ships, core PC03 succeeded to take in the most northerly site in the northern hemisphere.
