Research Abstract |
Organic salt compounds, which consist of azobenzene carboxylic acid and L-amino acid esters such as L-Valine, L-Isoleucine, L-Leucine, L-Lysine, L-Phenylalanine, and L-Alanine, have a good organogelation ability for many organic solvents and oils. The supramolecular gels formed by organic salt gelators show the thermoreversible, acid-base reversible, and photoreversible sol-gel transition. Furthermore, new organogelators, which have a thermoresposive property, are found.
