Research Abstract |
精神疾患様の行動異常を呈するヒストン脱アセチル化酵素6遺伝子欠損マウスの行動薬理学的解析を実施し、本マウスが呈する異常行動の1つである活動量亢進の原因が、過剰なドーパミン神経伝達によって生じることを明らかにした。また、本マウスの神経細胞、特にドーパミンシナプスにおいて、複数のタンパク質の異常なアセチル化亢進が観察されたことから、シナプスにおけるタンパク質の可逆的アセチル化調節がドーパミン神経伝達に関与することが判明し、その異常が精神疾患の病態形成に関与する可能性が示された。
