Research Abstract

核内受容体PPARα(α型ペルオキシソーム増殖剤応答性受容体)を介した体内時計の制御機構の解明を目指して研究を行った。炭水化物を制限したケトン体ダイエットを負荷した場合、PPARαのリガンドであるフィブラートを投与した時と同様に、PPARαの活性化と体内時計の位相前進が確認された。PPARαの活性化に伴い、肝臓においてFGF21の時刻依存的な発現誘導が確認され、PPARαの活性化に伴う体内時計の位相前進に、FGF21が関与している可能性が考えられた。
