Research Abstract |
骨髄の単球系に由来するミクログリアは神経保護機能を有することから、その異常は神経変性を誘導するといわれている。我々は神経変性病態において異常なミクログリアを正常なそれで置き換えることによって、変性病態を改善できないかと考えた。そこで、骨髄内骨髄移植を行い、まずミクログリアが置換される時間経過などの基礎的知見を得た後、そうした処置が神経変性を改善する可能性を検討した。その結果ドナー由来細胞は時間依存的に脳の限局された領域に入りミクログリアに分化したが、今回の条件では神経変性の治療にまでは至らなかった。
