Research Abstract

シリコンに代わる有機物からなる次世代低コスト太陽電池の創製を目的とした。太陽電池の心臓部である光電変換層にナノレベルの規則正しい構造を与えることで、高効率化を図るアプローチを採用した。具体的には、精密重合法を用い、p型有機半導体であるポリ(3-ヘキシルチオフェン)(P3HT)及びポリスチレン誘導体からなる共重合体の合成に初めて成功した。得られたポリマーは、フィルム状態で10-15nmの幅の周期構造を持つナノファイバー状の形態を示すことが明らかとなった。また、n型有機半導体であるPCBMとの複合膜を用いた太陽電池デバイスを作製・評価したところ、高い光電変換効率2.8%を達成した。
