Research Abstract

地上から高度1-2kmまでの対流圏下部領域では、地表面とそれに接する大気との間にさまざまな相互作用が生じており、大気境界層と呼ばれる。この領域における大気は、気象現象を通じて人間の環境にさまざまな影響を及ぼしている。とりわけ、都市大気においては、エアロゾルと呼ばれる固体・液体の微粒子や燃焼に由来する二酸化窒素など気体物質の濃度が高く、しばしば大気汚染の原因ともなっている。エアロゾルはまた、太陽光の散乱・吸収の直接効果と、雲の凝結核としての間接効果を通じ、地球温暖化にも直接的に関与する放射収支の評価において大きな不確定要因となっている。本研究では、光学的なリモートセンシング計測手法であるライダー計測手法、とくに通常のライダー計測では困難な地上付近の計測が可能になるイメージングライダーの手法と、人工光や太陽光を利用した長光路差分吸収分光法(DOAS法)を複合的に活用し、大気汚染気体からエアロゾル、そしてエアロゾルから雲粒への変化を動的に捉えることを目的として研究を実施した。平成23年度においては、これまでに引き続いてDOAS法による二酸化窒素とエアロゾルの同時長期観測結果の解析を行うとともに、直達太陽光と散乱光(天空光)などの観測を通じて千葉における都市エアロゾルの光学特性の解析を行った。また、地表面付近のエアロゾル散乱特性および雲の散乱特性を評価する手段として、冷却CCDカメラなどを用いたレーザー光散乱計測、イメージングライダーの計測を実施した。こうした知見を生かして、平成23年度に環境リモートセンシング研究センターに地上エアロゾル計測装置と組み合わせた多波長ライダー装置が整備された。今後、関連する観測データを複合的に利用することにより、都市域のエアロゾルと雲の動態解明を進めていく。
