Research Abstract |
The final purpose of this research is to develop an observation system for English language activities that are part of the elementary school curriculum. Over the last four years, the research has focused on determining specific criteria which could be included in an observation system. Data was obtained through the observation and analysis of: elementary school teachers and university students engaged in team-teaching, elementary school teachers in traditional settings, junior high school English classes, children and instructors in an on-line English program, and aquestionnaire administered to the junior high school students. Several criteria werefound to have statistical reliability and validity.
