Research Abstract |
In this study, we have aimed to develop a new synthetic utilization of readily available carbon resources, such as sugars, sugar alcohols, and formaldehyde, which are easily stemmed from biomass. We found that, under transition metal-catalysis, such carbon resources can be used as a carbonyl source in carbonylation reactions.
