Research Abstract |
Gold has fascinated many people since ancient times because of its worth and beauty. Gold-colored paints have been industrially produced by adding real metals to yellow paints. However, very few gold-lustrous organic materials have been developed from only low-molecular organic compounds. In this study, we have succeeded in fabricating the gold-colored organic crystals from azobenzene compounds.
